Okay, I’ve got to be honest: I’m no expert on film, let alone a documentary. What I do know, however, is that a film is a damn good one when it leaves me wrapped up in my own thoughts and emotions even well after it’s over. I know it’s a good film when it evokes a real sense of awareness about me and my existence. This documentary left me thinking  that people deal with some real life shit that’s way more life changing than any of the #firstworldproblems I complain about on a daily basis. I know that this all sounds very obvious, but it took me this one documentary to really shatter the enclosed walls I’ve lived in. It’s really rare that anything, especially film, leaves a lasting impression on me, so I find this random Netflix find to be a gem.
